Çerkezköy Turkish Textile Foundation Vocational and Technical Education Center (Metem)
teachers and a student group of almost 70 people visited Lafer Türk. |

develops and produces textile machinery
projects for finishing of woven,
knitted and nonwoven fabrics, is one of
the leading textile finishing machinery
producers of Turkiye and of the world
due to the quality in its production concept,
high standards arising within the

making investment for the sector representatives
of the future as well as producing
machinery meeting future expectations. Çerkezköy Turkish Textile Foundation
Vocational and Technical Education
Center (METEM) organized a trip program
to Lafer Türk with a crowded student
group and teachers. Lafer Türk
company representatives provided information
to the students the future
representatives of the sector about textile
finishing machines, raising, shearing,
brush, sanfor and stenter machines' |

sheet and machining manufacturing
stages and the latest testing processes
before the delivery of the machines
to the customers. The students were
informed about in which stages that
related finishing machines are used in
dyehouses producing fabrics and what
kind of effects have these machines on
the fabrics.Lafer Türk brand textile machines offer
their users the opportunity of going
one step further in competitive market
conditions with their performance, durability,
low rates in their consumption
rates and professional and quick solution
understanding in their services; and

It is an Education Center established in
Çerkezköy in order to train the intermediate
manpower required by textile sector
that is one of the sectors of our country
having priority and in order to increase
the employment of this manpower
and competitiveness of the sector.
Lafer Türk has the mission of making investment for the
sector representatives of the future as well as producing
machinery meeting future expectations.

In order to achieve that goal;
• It educates staffs with high technical
capacity as required by the industry, based
on mostly technical education rather
than a theory suitable for occupational
standards.
• It supports formal and informal vocational
technical educations directed for
the practice.
• It provides 4 years education on Industrial
Automation Technologies
(Mechatronic) in order to meet the requirement
of trained and qualified staff
for the maintenance and repairing of
the machinery and installation in the
plants. Çerkezköy METEM, which will
educate qualified intermediate staff for
textile sector for the first time in Turkiye,
opened in 2007-2008 educational
year. METEM will provide an opportunity
for the education of the staffs of all
companies in the entire of Marmara region,
not only in Çerkezköy, together
with the dormitories it has. Following
the commence of Çerkezköy METEM,
Adana METEM (Organized Industrial
Area) stated to operate in 2008-2009
educational year and Kayseri project
will be also started. |
